My Visit to Nigeria and Memories

Last month I visited Nigeria for the Internet Missions Conference on the theme “Google the Gospel”. The conference was organized by Web Missions Africa Lokoja but held at the Insight Bible Church Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Nigeria. It was nice visiting Nigeria and catching up with all the wonderful people that I’ve known through my life’s course. We had amazing time learning from each other’s expertise.

After the conference I headed off to Ebonyi state to BethelCity Church to preach at Pastor Chinagorom’s church Tuesday evening. It was electrifying seeing young people who are passionate for God. Pastor Philip Chinagorom was a close buddy of mine in high school (Grade 6) and it was really exciting catching up with him after almost 15 years of separation. I was excited to notice that Pastor Chinagorom is doing a great job at the BethelCity Church raising a generation of worshippers for the Lord. I celebrate him!

Before i was introduced to his congregation; Pastor Chinagorom led in worship. I didn’t know he could sing that well

From Ebonyi state I travelled to Anambra State to see my parents and have some time of ministry there as well. I preached at Faith Alive Bible Church Nkpor on Easter Sunday and grateful to God for changing lives that Sunday. My dad is the senior pastor at Faith Alive Bible Church for so many years now. I would say it is my home church; I’ve always been part the ministry as well.

I headed back to Lagos and had to visit my former school, West Africa Theological Seminary. It was thrilling seeing most of my favourite people again. I am thankful to God to have seen again some of the great people that have had great impact in my life. From Bishop Akinola, Bishop Usenu, Rev Kalu, Dr. Ugboh, Pastor Ukaoha, Rev (Dr) Adegbola, Dr. & Mrs Udotong, Mrs. Ugwu, Rev Onwuka, Pastor Olufemi, Mrs Modupe and the entire student body of which I once served as their student president.

Nigeria is filled with positive people who are ready and passionate about doing the right things. My visit is a memory that will take a while to forget. And I am most blessed to give back as I’m enabled.
